To remember the word cat in French, you just have to remember chat. Cat and chat sound the same.

The word niece in English is nièce in French. Except for the accent mark, they are the same!

The word stepmother is belle-mère. If you think of mère, it kind of sounds like part of nightmare which makes you think of the evil stepmother in Cinderella.

Cousin is spelled the same way in French as it is spelled in English.

If you like hamsters, you will be able to buy one in France too. It is the same word.

Father and brother rhyme. Père and frère rhyme too.

Mother is mère and when you hear mère you think of a pretty mare horse.
