FRENCH PROFESSIONS

By: Alishia, Savanna, Chad, Franky, Jenny, Preston, Chad, Drew, Kim, and Audrey

We think it is important to study French professions because if you are a big, important executive and you have to meet somebody who speaks only French, you could communicate better. You could say, "Hello, my name is.... and I'm a lawyer" or something. You wouldn't end up saying you're an avocado or something else to embarrass yourself. You won't regret studying this site in the future. It's important to study French professions.

One way to remember how to say doctor in French is that it is spelled differently. Doctor in English is docteur in French.

On judge everything is the same except for the 'd' in judge is not there. That is the only difference.

Almost everything is the same on charpentier, but it is different from the French word. There is an extra 'h' and 'i'.

Teacher is professeur which sounds like what you call your teacher here in college.

Travel agent has 'voyage' in it so you know you are going somewhere if you are dealing with an agent de voyage.

In French the word mechanic is close. It is mécanicien.

Inventor is close to inventeur. Switch the 'o' with 'eu'.
