German Ocean
By Richard, Shelby, Andrew, Dustin,

We must protect our oceans. The world is growing
and we must be careful of pollution. People around the world are concerned
about our oceans. You may join an international group to protect the ocean
and maybe there will be German people in the group. So that you can work
together, you will need to know these words in German. You will want to
know how you can protect Krabe, Delphin, Aal, and Fisch. You will also want
to talk about how you can prevent Abfall. Learn German and don't forget
to help keep our oceans clean!
l
Shark is pronounced like 'hi'
in German. The last thing you will probably want to say to a Hai is 'hi',
but at least you'll remember the word now.
Tourist is Tourist. Make sure
to capitalize the word Tourist though. In German you capitalize all people,
places, and things.
If you like to surf, then you
will be doing doing 'well' if you find a great big Welle. Go dude!
Boots are often brown and so are
boats. Boot (German) = boat (English).
You might like to 'garnish' your
plate with a bunch of Garnele. Garnele means shrimp.
If a rock 'fell' on you, it would
hurt. If you go to a beach and see a sign of a Fels falling, watch out!
Glass is sharp. If you cut off
one of the "s" you see in the word glass, you get Glas - the German word
for glass.
