Spanish Geography and Nature

Molly, Connor, Luzann, Zach, Chris, Lindsey, Joe, Alyssa, Sami, Ellen, and Randy

Hello and welcome to our website. We think it's important that you know about Spanish geographical landforms because if you are going on a trip you would like to see fascinating sites. If you were on a vacation in Costa Rica, you would need to know how to read their maps. If a guy was warning you about a dark canyon right next to the road, you would want to know what he said to not get into an accident. Also, if you become a cartographer for a Spanish region you would want to know the geographical words! We hope you enjoy learning Spanish just as much as we did! Thank you for visiting our website!!!

USEFUL HINTS

1. A way you can remember mountain is that it sounds like Montana, where there are many mountains.

2. You can remember savannah easily because they sound similar, savannah = sabana

3. Ocean is also another easy one to remember. There's just an o at the end of its name in Spanish.

4. Volcano has the same rule as ocean except instead of adding a letter on the end you take away the final 'o'.

5. Delta and delta are the same so there are really no rules on how to remember that one.

6. The word for plateau is meseta, which sounds like mesa, another word for plateau in English.

7. The word glacier is the same in Spanish, except it has an "a" instead of the "e".
