Spanish
Items Found at School

by Tessa, Ian, David, Andrew, Sarah, Mel, Ash, Michelle, Josh, Amy, Marcie, and Julie

It is important to know school supplies in Spanish because if you go to school in Spain or in another Spanish-speaking country you must know what to bring to school on the first day. Also if your teacher asks you to take out 'papel' you must know that's paper. If you are on the bus and a kid asks you for a 'libro de texto' you must know it's a text book. If a girl asks you for a 'regla' you must know it is a ruler. If a teacher asks you for 'cola' you must not get her a soda...you must get her a bottle of glue. That is why its important to know Spanish school supplies.

You can remember text by taking out the 'o' in texto.

You can remember student because the word estudiante has many of the same letters.

You can remember markers by the marca in marcadores.

One way you can remember book is because it is libro and it looks like library and that is where you find books.

The way you can remember calculator is it looks almost looks like the Spanish word calculadora.

Another word that looks the same is crayons. In Spanish it is creyones.

You can remember pen because it starts with a 'p', like pluma.
