It is important to know Spanish sports because if you ever go to Spain you might want to play sports, or teach them. If you want to go to Spain and become a coach, you have to know how to say the sports. Or if you wanted to watch the Super Bowl and said you wanted to watch "Pescar," which means "fishing" you would get that instead of the Super Bowl.
