This is a sixth-grade wide project that started in 2001 and proudly continues today! It teaches us French, German, Portuguese, Spanish, and Vietnamese words in up to twenty-five vocabulary topics! 

Each year students are broken up into a group that is responsible for researching a group of words in either French, German, or Spanish. The group then develops a lesson around those words to teach other students in the school. The Portuguese and Vietnamese pages were created by Mr. Willette and Vietnamese students at our school.

Eighty-one vocabulary lessons are posted here on the Internet for you to look at and learn from.  Mt. Ararat Middle School now has its very own multilingual talking picture dictionary with over 2,600 words and pictures! That is a lot!

It is very important that each group use its creativity to develop an interesting lesson because these lessons will be available for future MAMS students to use as a learning tool during foreign language classes in sixth through eighth grade.  You will also learn important Internet skills. Make sure that you refer to the requirements checklist so that your group completes their project.

The website is a great way to work as a group, improve your foreign language skills, and have fun with technology. It takes everybody's effort to produce the best dictionary we can, and we are glad you are a part of it!
